Lucas' Papaw Ointment

This is probably my most used beauty product. It is multi-purpose and underestimated. I use it numerous times a day on my lips to keep them smooth. It is Lucas' Papaw Ointment!

It’s made from fermented Carica Papaya which is a fruit grown in Queensland Australia.

According to the Lucas’ website it has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. I find it moisturising and soothing as well.

The ointment has a light sent of papaya. The texture is slightly thicker than a lip gloss but body heat seems to make it thinner. It applies clear to the lips but when it is first out of the tube it had a slight yellow colour to it.

One little product with so many uses! You can put it on burns, chafing, cuts, cracked skin, gravel rash, splinters and insect bites. I use it on my lips when they are feeling dry and in need of some love. It also can double as a clear lip gloss because of how shiny it is when applied.

I like this product because it is moisturising, soothing and because of it’s many uses. The only thing that annoys me about this product is that it doesn't have a lip applicator.

In Australia you can find Lucas’ Papaw ointment in chemists, supermarkets and department stores. It can be ordered from the website if you live outside of Australia.

Do you have any other uses for paw paw cream?

The Beginning of Beauty, Bites and Big Things

Hi guys,

My name is Bridget and I live in Australia. This is my first post so I thought it might be a good idea to introduce myself and explain why I am starting this little project.

The last year has kept me busy. In December I 'retired' from dance after 14 years of trophies, tears and triumphs. I have just finished a 3 year degree in Human Nutrition! I also met my boyfriend Ryne who is the funniest and most caring person ever.

So where does this leave me?

Without dance, I have more free time than ever before. Without uni, I have free time, a thirst for everything nutrition and decisions to be made about my future. To me this looks like a good time for new begging’s and opportunities.

So to use my time wisely rather than sitting on Facebook or pinterest for hours I will write about the things I love in life and just generally share some of my experiences with whoever stumbles upon these posts. I hope to write about all things nutrition, fitness, travel and beauty. As well as a bit about my experiences on the way to figuring out my future and maybe even help you guys do the same thing.

To explain the name ‘Beauty, Bites and Big Things’: Beauty- products I have tried or want to try and my thoughts. Bites- Healthy food, nutrition information and tips. Big Things- I have some exciting opportunities coming up and I will be sharing my adventure and experiences.

I'm the kind of person who likes to hear other people’s perspectives and opinions so I would love it if you leave a comment.

Thanks for reading x
